About JANE - Bringing together Beauty, Body & Spirit

Step in to the stories

Stephaney Oberon is a writer and a discoverer of the sacred in the ordinary. Her debut memoir, Atlanticville: An Island Memoir, is a collection of stories, letters, and poems from a life lived on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina—an island she loved, mourned, and wrote about for years before it was time to share. She is the founder of Oberon Press and the author of Enchanted Rose: An Island Fairytale. As one of the original Nia trainers, she taught movement and embodied awareness globally. She believes that the most important things are usually the smallest and most simple, and that writing down your story is the closest thing to healing you may ever find.

Holistic Movement

Dance with Stephaney

Movement should embrace individuality, love, and the truest expression of self.

I have been dancing and teaching Nia nationally since 1996 and globally since 2001, not because movement is exercise, but because it is medicine. What I teach is rooted in Natural Time: moving in harmony with the body's own rhythm, with comfort, depth, and balance. Movement for the purpose of healing the body, the mind, and the spirit.

I discovered this through my own pain. Gentle, easy-to-follow movement gave me what nothing else could: a body free of pain and a relationship with myself I didn't know was possible.

I offer classes and workshops both live and virtually, along with a growing collection of movement videos. Whether you're healing, exploring, or simply longing to feel at home in your body, there is a place for you here.
